Welcome to the Academy of Wushu!


Tai Chi Chuan: Tai Ji Quan (Tai qi) consists of various styles, forms and patterns. The focus of this form is health, balance and strength.

Wushu: Wushu consists of jumping, kicking and acrobatics, and is the Chinese word for martial arts. Long fist includes use of traditional weapons such as sticks, spears, swords and sabers.

Sanda: (Sanshou) consists of full contact fighting (with the use of  protective gear). Includes punching, kicking and grappling (e.g. wrestling and throwing).

Dao Yin Qi Gong: Dao Yin Qi Gong consists principally of breathing exercises and patterns. The focus of this form is on health, meditation and circulation improvement.

Shaolin: Shaolin Quan or Shaolin Boxing originated in the Shaolin Temple on Mount Songshan at Denfeng in the Henan Province.

Routine: The routine is a series of movements that includes the characteristics of the particular style within Chinese wushu. For example Drunken Style.

Weapon: Today, the wide variety of weapons used in wushu. For example Spear and Tai chi sword.

Together with World Link Education Programs are designed to immerse students in Chinese martial arts through class instruction, tutoring and electives, providing the most comprehensive course program for students. Caters for individual needs with an intensive program for participants dedicated to mastering martial art on a high level, and a less intensive program for those interested in combining martial arts with language or and culture.
